Boiled yam, like boiled yucca, is commonly used as a side dish in some West African countries because it’s locally grown and often less expensive than other goods such as rice and potatoes. Easy to cook, it’s usually eaten with grilled chicken or fish and a bit of spicy tomato sauce. This side dish will add a tropical touch to your meals without messing up your busy schedule.
