Cuban Grilled Tilapia or when simple wins the day

This simple fish recipe will leave you speechless. How can something so simple and easy to make taste so wonderful? But it works, the fresh fish, fresh lime, cilantro work perfectly well together for the greatest pleasure of our tastebuds.

Grilled Tilapia

Grilled Tilapia
Serves 2
Prep time 15 minutes
Cook time 30 minutes
Total time 45 minutes

Ingredients

  • 1 whole tilapia cleaned and scaled
  • olive oil
  • sea salt
  • 1 lime, (thinly sliced)
  • 1 small onion, (thinly sliced)
  • 2 0r 3 sprigs cilantro

Directions

1. Preheat a chargoal grill to medium hot (or the oven broiler)


2. With a sharp knife, make 3 diagonal cuts down to the bone along each side of the fish


3. Rub the fish inside and out with oil and salt


4. Place the lime and onion slices and sprigs of cilantro in the cavity


5. Grill for 10-15 mintues on each side or until the fish flakes when the flesh in one of the cuts is pierced with a fork


6. Place the fish on a platter and serve with avocado sauce and yuca bread
