Baked klaklo Recipe

Ingredients
- 3 very ripe plantains (completely black)
- 1/3 cup rice flour
- 2 tablespoons onion puree (puree 1 small onion in a blender with a little water)
- salt to taste
- 2 tablespoons oil
Optional
- chili powder to taste
Directions
1. | Peel the plantains and put them in a big bowl. |
2. | Mash them with a potato smasher |
3. | Add the rice flour, salt and chili powder if using |
4. | Put your oil in your a small bowl. Coat your hands with a little oil and form small patties with the plantain batter, making sure that the patties' surface is covered with a light oil coat. |
5. | Put your patties on an oven tray covered with parchment paper |
6. | Bake at 400F for 20 minutes or until the plantain patties take on a rich gold and brown color. |
